Appointments, honors and activities

  • Faculty and staff honors:

Brett Savoie, an assistant professor in Purdue’s Davidson School of Chemical Engineering, is one of eight award recipients of the inaugural Dreyfus Program for Machine Learning in the Chemical Sciences and Engineering. Savoie’s research focuses on transfer learning for deep generative chemical models.

Three individuals associated with Purdue’s Fraternity, Sorority and Cooperative Life community have received national recognition from the North American Interfraternity Conference. Brandon Cutler, associate dean of students for Fraternity, Sorority and Cooperative Life, received the Advisor Award of Distinction. The award recognizes individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to guiding and mentoring a chapter, council or community. Bill Miller, chapter advisor for Phi Gamma Delta, earned an Advisor Award of Distinction. Nathan Longo received one of nine Undergraduate Award of Distinction honors. The award recognizes fraternity men who embody the values of their fraternity in their development as both a leader and better man. More information here.
