Purdue Global partners with Autism Allies

INDIANAPOLIS — Purdue University Global is partnering with Autism Allies to offer its employees and their immediate family members tuition discounts.

Autism Allies operates two clinical centers in Massachusetts – one in Shrewsbury and one in West Springfield.

Purdue Global students pursuing a career in applied behavior analysis will benefit from the collaboration.

“Autism Allies will be supervising our students as they work to accrue the independent field-experience hours required for their behavior analyst certification board credential,” said Julee Poole, department chair for the Graduate Psychology Department and the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Purdue Global. “At the same time, as we do with all our community organization partnerships, we hope our students and alumni are afforded externship and employment opportunities.”

For Autism Allies, the partnership aspires to achieve two goals – filling a shortage of ABA professionals and reinforcing employee relations.

“There continues to be a dire need for behavior analysts relative to the number of families in need of ABA services,” said Christina Anderson, director of clinical services for Autism Allies. “We hope that our partnership with Purdue Global will act as an incentive to get more people to pursue a career in ABA.”

“Autism Allies has always aspired to be an employer of choice for ABA professionals in this region,” said Diane Kroushl, director of human resources. “This partnership with Purdue Global helps us advance that goal by providing academic assistance to our staff.”

The tuition discount will apply to any Purdue Global program.
