Appointments, honors and activities

- Jay Wasson and Rob Wynkoop were promoted to associate vice presidents within Administrative Operations. As the associate vice president of physical facilities, Wasson leads and manages the asset management, campus planning and sustainability, capital program management, facilities operations and integrated analytics units. As the associate vice president of auxiliary services, Wynkoop leads and manages the Purdue University airport operations, procurement services, real estate and occupancy planning, space management, and the supplier diversity development units.

Student honors:

- Clinton Brown, a Ph.D. candidate in the Brian Lamb School of Communication, was selected the recipient of the Donald P. Cushman Memorial Award from the National Communication Association. The award honors the top student-authored paper from the association’s annual convention. Clinton was co-author of “Childfree and ‘Bingoed’: Competing Discourses of Reproductive Normativity and Autonomy Animated in the Online Narratives of Conversations About Voluntary Childlessness.”
