WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -  Award-winning pianist Yi-Nuo Wang will perform in Purdue University’s Loeb Playhouse at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 14. This performance is presented by Purdue Convocations with support from Piano Giving Circle.

Purdue Convocations has long presented classical artists as their careers accelerate under auspices of the Concert Artists Guild Victor Elmaleh Competition. Fresh from her first-place finish in 2018, Chinese pianist Yi-Nuo Wang continues that tradition, as well as the continued animation of Convocations’ exploration of piano repertoire on a Steinway concert grand piano gifted by Janet and John Nine. Wang began playing at age 4 in Beijing, won her first competition at age 5, and studied at Beijing’s prestigious Central Conservatory of Music. Now an active performer alongside ensembles in Asia, Europe and the United States, Wang lives in New York — where she is pursuing her undergraduate degree at The Juilliard School and making her New York recital debut this season at Carnegie Hall.
