Cellist, pianist to perform at Purdue University on Oct. 24

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Camille Thomas, a cellist, and Julien Brocal, a pianist, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 24 in Stewart Center’s Loeb Playhouse on the campus of Purdue University. 

This performance is presented by Purdue Convocations with support from Friends of Convos Endowment and the Mike and Pam Luenz Classical Music Endowment. 

At 6:30 p.m. join Margot Marlatt, a cellist and executive director of the Tippecanoe Chamber Music Society, will lead a discussion about the evening’s performance in Stewart Center, Room 310 . 

Camille Thomas is a rising-star cellist delivering dynamic virtuosity on her 18th-century Gagliano cello. Thomas earned a first-prize finish at 2014’s European Broadcasting Union Competition and a spot on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list.   

Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for children 18 years and younger, Purdue students and Ivy Tech Lafayette students. Initiated in 1902, Purdue Convocations was one of the first professional performing arts presenters in the United States.
