‘U.S. Farm Report’ will bring college road show back to Purdue

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – “The U.S. Farm Report” a syndicated television show focusing on agriculture and agribusiness, hosted by Tyne Morgan, will be filming at Purdue’s West Lafayette campus from 1:30-3 p.m. on Thursday (Sept. 26). Filming will take place on the lawn by the Agricultural Administration Building.

The show will feature three professors from Purdue’s College of Agriculture: agricultural economists Jayson Lusk and James Mintert, and agronomist Bob Nielsen. Before and after broadcast, “AgriTalk Live,” a one-hour syndicated radio talk program, will also broadcast from the Purdue campus.

New this year, “U.S. Farm Report” will award a $250 prize to the agriculture student organization in attendance with the most Purdue spirit. To be eligible, the student group must be registered with Purdue’s Business Office for Student Organizations (BOSO) as an official agriculture-related organization or club. There will also be games and refreshments for those in attendance.

Students, faculty, staff, and the public are invited to attend and participate in the event. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions immediately following the taping.

The complete show will air on Sept. 28 and include a feature on Purdue’s advances in the area of digital agriculture.

In the instance of inclement weather, the day’s events will be moved to the Deans Auditorium (Room 241) in Pfendler Hall.
