Purdue Global trustees selected for new term, officers elected

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The Purdue University Board of Trustees on Friday (June 14) redesignated the inaugural six-member Purdue University Global Board of Trustees to serve another two-year term.

Michael Berghoff, president of Lenex Steel Co., and chairman of the Purdue University Board of Trustees, will continue to serve as the board chair. Other board members are:

  • Paul Bott, educational consultant and professor emeritus, California State University, Long Beach.
  • JoAnne Brouillette, Purdue trustee and managing partner and president, Demeter LP.
  • Malcolm DeKryger, Purdue trustee and president and chief executive officer, Belstra Milling Co.
  • Mike Klipsch, Purdue trustee and co-founder, Klipsch-Card Athletic Facilities LLC.
  • Don Thompson, Purdue trustee and chief executive officer, Cleveland Avenue LLC.

The Purdue University Global Board of Trustees, in turn, elected the following officers:

  • President — Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr., Purdue University president.
  • Chancellor — Betty Vandenbosch.
  • Chief financial officer — Christopher A. Ruhl, Purdue senior vice president for strategic initiatives.
  • Treasurer — William E. Sullivan, Purdue treasurer and chief financial officer.
  • Assistant treasurer — James S. Almond, Purdue senior vice president and assistant treasurer.
  • Secretary — Nancy A. Decker, executive assistant to the Purdue treasurer.
  • Assistant secretary — Steven R. Schultz, Purdue general counsel.
  • Assistant secretary — Michael Lorenz, Purdue Global registrar.

In addition, the Purdue Global board ratified the appointment of several academic officers, including David A. Starnes as chief academic officer and Carolyn Nordstrom as vice president for faculty and academic resources.
