Former Starbucks CEO Schultz to speak Thursday (Feb. 7) at Purdue

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue Student Government will sponsor a visit to Purdue’s West Lafayette campus this week by Howard Schultz, an American businessman and former CEO of Starbucks.

The speech will be at 1 p.m. Thursday (Feb. 7) in Fowler Hall, Stewart Center.

Due to limited space, event seating will be offered to invited and ticketed members of the university’s governance councils. A livestream will be shown in Loeb Playhouse, open to students, faculty, staff and the general public.

“We think this is an incredible opportunity for Purdue students to learn more about not only Mr. Schultz but to become aware of issues affecting our country and our futures,” said Aaron Banks, president of Purdue Student Government. “As leaders at Purdue, we feel it is our responsibility to offer these types of events, which are not designed as endorsements of any viewpoint.”
