Purdue Galleries to present international poster exhibition

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue University Galleries will exhibit the 2017 Korean Ensemble of Contemporary Dance (KECD) International Poster Exhibition, titled “By Design.” The exhibition will be in the Robert L. Ringel Gallery from Jan. 7 through Feb. 9.

“By Design” features graphic design posters from over 150 different artists from Korea, Japan, China, Malaysia, Taiwan, Indonesia, Czech Republic, Iran, Vietnam and more. The contest is organized by KECD, and the theme for 2017 was “The Beauty of Asia.” This annual invitational aims to enhance communication and strengthen ties between participants.

Purdue Galleries will host a closing reception for “By Design” in Ringel Gallery at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 31. At the reception, the curator will comment on the exhibition.    

Robert L. Ringel Gallery is located in Stewart Center, 128 Memorial Mall, West Lafayette, and is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
