Purdue Buildings and Grounds career fair set for Oct. 4 on campus

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue’s Physical Facilities Buildings and Grounds department is hosting a career fair on Thursday (Oct. 4) to recruit candidates to fill a variety of open positions, including plumbers, electricians, sheet metal workers and other skilled trades. Additionally, custodial and a variety of student positions are offered.

The career fair will be held from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Physical Facilities Service Building located at 775 Ahlers Drive in West Lafayette. Parking is available in the gravel lot south of the facility, and attendees should follow signs to the entrance.

“On-the-spot interviews may be offered to those with a complete profile in Purdue’s online application system, and attendees can apply for open positions during the career fair,” said Ryan Gallagher, senior director of Buildings and Grounds. “This event provides a good opportunity for candidates to engage with hiring managers and ask questions.”

Among the advantages of a Purdue career are benefits and retirement programs; tuition reduction for staff, spouses and children; free online coursework through Purdue Global; paid time off and more.

A map of the career fair location and parking and other details is provided on the Human Resources Careers website at https://www.purdue.edu/hr/careers/resources/careerFair.html.
