Campus activities spring to life during busy April

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Numerous activities will take place over the next two weekends at Purdue, and university police are asking that drivers and pedestrians use caution around the campus area. They also want people residing in the area or visiting to be aware that there could be some noise from outdoor concerts and events.

“This is a typical busy time as the weather warms and campus groups schedule events before the close of the academic year,” said Ron Wright, director of emergency preparedness. “We first want to do everything we can to make it a safe time, and secondly to ensure that there are no surprises for the people who live in the neighborhoods.”

Activities include:

• Collegiate Drone Racing Championship. Friday (April 13) and Saturday (April 14).

• Spring Fest. Saturday (April 14) and Sunday (April 15).

• Aviation Day. Saturday (April 14).

• Purdue Challenge 5K. Saturday (April 14).

• Pandemonium concert. Saturday (April 14).

• Westside Block Party (fireworks). Saturday (April 14)

• Neighborhood event on Krach lawn. Sunday (April 15).

• Carnival Night. April 20

• Purdue Grand Prix. April 21
