Science Talks speaker to highlight the connections between art and science

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue’s Society for Applied Spectroscopy will host an acclaimed speaker on April 3 as part of the Science Talks Series “Blending Art and Science.”

The talk is free and open to the public.

At 6:30 p.m. April 3, Joe McNally, internationally acclaimed photographer for National Geographic, will present “Picturing the World of Technology.”

McNally’s career has included assignments in 70 countries and led to numerous awards. His advertising clients include FedEx, Epson, Sony, Adidas, Land’s End, Nikon and more. Two of his books have landed on Amazon’s top ten bestsellers list.

The Science Talks series brings world class science speakers and artists to campus to engage discussion about the importance of blending art and science.

The event is organized with the support of SOGA Purdue, Purdue Office of the Provost, Camera Outfitters LLC, Second Level Studios and Purdue Photography Club.
