Appointments, honors and activities

Faculty and staff honors:

- Mara Faccio, a professor of management and the Hanna Chair in Entrepreneurship in the Krannert School of Management, has been elected a director of the American Finance Association, the premier academic organization devoted to the study and promotion of knowledge about financial economics. Faccio joined the Krannert faculty in 2007 and is an award-winning researcher in the area of international finance. She is a research associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research, a senior fellow of the Asian Bureau of Finance and Economics Research, and a research associate of the European Corporate Governance Institute. Notables:

- Robert Perrucci’s “Deep Inequality: Understanding the New Normal and How to Challenge it” was published by Rowman & Littlefield. Perrucci, a Purdue professor emeritus of sociology, and Earl Wysong, a professor emeritus of sociology at Indiana University Kokomo, are co-authors of the new book, which examines wealth inequality and rising disparities in other elements of life such as education and the media. The authors explain the changing landscape of inequality and argue that inequality has become so pervasive that it is the new normal. More information is available online.
