Purdue names 2016 Homecoming queen and king

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue University students Cameron Mann and Trevor Peters were crowned Homecoming queen and king during the Homecoming celebration Saturday (Oct. 15) on the main stage in Stadium Mall.

They appeared at Saturday's Homecoming festivities, including the football game's halftime celebration.

Mann is a senior studying agricultural communication and agribusiness marketing in the College of Agriculture from Cloverdale, Indiana. Peters is a senior studying mass communication in the College of Liberal Arts from Fishers, Indiana.

They were chosen by online student voting and formal interviews by a judging panel composed of faculty, staff, students, alumni and community leaders.

Members of the queen's court are Lauren Ashack of Tinley Park, Illinois; Kayla Bacon from Crawfordsville, Indiana; Shea Farren Catellier from Indianapolis; Yiwei Huang from Shenzhen, China; Blair Williams from St. Louis, Missouri; and Ashley Zeiner from Fishers, Indiana.

Members of the king's court are Mark Adams from McHenry, Illinois; David Bechtel from New Lenox, Illinois; Scott Campbell from Fort Wayne, Indiana; George Crabtree from Somerset, New Jersey; I-Fan Lin, from Taipei, Taiwan; and Brian Rogers from San Marina, California.
