Alumni honored in Purdue Polytechnic Institute ceremonies

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. —Purdue Polytechnic Institute honored eight alumni during award ceremonies on April 22.

Mike Dilts and Rob McKinney are this year's recipients of distinguished alumni awards.

* Dilts, of Indianapolis, is president and CEO of Shiel Sexton Co. Inc. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in construction management from Purdue in 1981 and a certificate of special studies in business administration from Harvard University in 1985.

* McKinney, of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, is president of Mokulele Airlines. He earned his associate and bachelor's degrees in professional flight from Purdue in 1989 and 1991 and an MBA from Ellis College in 2006.

Ryan G. Edgell and Phillip Kinnison are this year's recipients of Outstanding Technology Alumni honors.

* Edgell, of Indianapolis, is president/lead consultant for Edge Information Technologies. He received his bachelor's degree in computer and information technology in 2003 and his master's degree in Technology in 2006.

* Kinnison, of Chicago, is digital solution architect senior principal for Accenture Interaction Experience Management Services Practice. He received his bachelor's degree in computer graphics technology in 1997 and his master's degree in industrial technology in 2000.

Mike Alder, Chris Durnil, Anthony Gregory and Parker Woods received Early Career awards.

* Alder, of McCordsville, Indiana, is a virtual construction engineer for Pepper Construction. He received his bachelor's degree in computer graphics technology in 2005.

* Durnil, of Indianapolis, is a purchasing agent for Bowen Engineering Corp. He received a bachelor's degree in construction management in 2006.

* Gregory, of Dallas, is senior director of ground operations for Southwest Airlines. He received his bachelor's degree in aviation and transportation technology in 2005.

* Woods, of Indianapolis, is managing partner for Cedar Technology Integration. He received in bachelor's degree in computer and information technology in 2011 and his master's degree in 2013.
