Wasatch Photonics announces acquisition of Process Spectroscopy technology from Research Triangle-based company

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind.; LOGAN, Utah; and DURHAM, N.C. – Wasatch Photonics, Inc., a leading provider for gratings, spectrometer and optical coherence tomography instrumentation, has acquired all assets for the Process Raman Spectroscopy technology for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries from Mustard Tree Instruments.

Mustard Tree Instruments is based in the Research Triangle Park in Durham, North Carolina. The Raman spectroscopy technology can determine real-time reactor chemical identity, form and composition, enabling control of finished product quality.

The acquisition of the assets will enable the company to take their products from original equipment manufacturing into the application space in the process spectroscopy market. The Mustard Tree Instruments products will be branded and sold under the Wasatch Photonics name.

Wasatch Photonics is headquartered in Logan, Utah, has a division in the Research Triangle Park in Durham, North Carolina, and an office in the Purdue Research Park of West Lafayette.
