Purdue researcher to receive national honor at White House on Friday

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Nancy Ho, founder and president of Green Tech America Inc., and a research professor emerita in Purdue University’s School of Chemical Engineering, will receive the National Medal of Technology and Innovation from President Barack Obama at 2:30 p.m. (EST) Friday (Jan. 22).

The president will present both National Medals of Science and National Medals of Technology and Innovation honors to 17 scientists, engineers, mathematicians and innovators. Awarded annually, the medals recognize people who have made outstanding contributions to science, engineering and mathematics. Ho’s selection as a recipient was announced in December.

The ceremony will be live streamed at http://www.whitehouse.gov/live. The White House issued an advisory last week.
