College of Liberal Arts names 2013 Emerging Voice Award winners

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue University's College of Liberal Arts has named two alumni as the 2013 Emerging Voice Award winners.

The alumni were honored Friday (Sept. 27) at a reception. The award was created to recognize young alumni under the age of 40 who are models in their careers, change agents in their communities, and representing the college as independent thinkers and visionary leaders who are productive, engaged members of society.

Recipients are Kendra Bracken-Ferguson and Eric Siebenaler.

* Bracken-Ferguson of New York City is the co-founder and chief operations officer of Digital Brand Architects. Prior to DBA, she worked at Ralph Lauren to launch its first dedicated global social media department, navigating brand management, marketing, advertising, and public relations to develop and drive a cohesive approach to the online space from the United States to Japan. She earned her bachelor's degree in communication in 2002.

* Siebenaler of Providence, RI., is the design manager for Hasbro Inc. He has worked on Transformers, Star Wars, and is now a design manager for the Littlest Pet Shop brand. He also has experience in the creative process on six animated series, and three feature films including the "Transformers" series. He earned his bachelor's degree in 2002 in industrial design.
