Student proposals sought for community engagement posters

The Center for Instructional Excellence is seeking student proposals for its third annual Academic Community Engagement Poster Presentation in October. The deadline to submit an abstract is Sept. 15.
The poster session is open to undergraduate, graduate and professional students at Purdue who are engaged in civic engagement activities locally, nationally and internationally. Interested participants should visit www.purdue.edu/cie/learning/servicelearning to submit a 300-word abstract. Presenters will be notified by Sept. 22 as to the acceptance status of their abstract.
The Academic Community Engagement Poster Presentation will take place from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 22 in the Materials and Electrical Engineering Building atrium. Prizes of gift cards and certificates will be awarded for first, second and third place. Attendees also will be able to vote for a People's Choice Award. Awards will be announced at 2 p.m.
