Purdue Winer Memorial Lectures to focus on physics, psychology
October 29, 2014
"Contextuality from Physics to Psychology" serves as this year's topic for the Purdue Winer Memorial Lectures on Nov. 1-3.
PWML is an annual meeting of physicists, mathematicians, economists, psychologists and philosophers. These academic scholars give 50-minute lectures that describe representative and theoretically significant samples of their research related to the year's conference topic. A full list of speakers, along with their abstracts, can be found here.
All lectures will take place in Stewart Center, Room 320. The conference begins at 8:15 a.m. Nov. 1 and wraps up at 5:40 p.m. Nov. 3. An itinerary can be found here.
Those interested in attending may register here. There is no cost to attend the lectures. However, the cost is $40 for a ticket for Sunday evening's banquet from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. in Purdue Memorial Union's East Faculty Lounge.
The meeting is sponsored by the Benjamin Winer Memorial Fund.
