Updates on Ariba, purchasing cards, travel help offered by Procurement Services

Procurement Services is providing updates on several matters, including system updates in the Ariba system, guidance in using purchasing cards, and travel-related email:
* Ariba software update: Enhancements for several functions are coming. These include Split by Amount, Reopen Purchase Order, and New Reconciler Role.
* Ariba purchase orders and specifications: This clarifies that purchase orders need clear purchase specifications and typically will not have attachments. Instructions are provided to ensure that the supplier receives sufficient detail to fill the order.
* Purchasing card manual update: A complete revision in a convenient form is available online.
* Guidelines for submitting emails to purduetravel@purdue.edu: Such emails open tickets in the Footprints system.
