TV show for Purdue Day of Giving to air twice on BTN

April 28, 2014

The Purdue Day of Giving on Wednesday (April 30) will include two telecasts on the Big Ten Network of the University's half-hour program titled "Purdue Day of Giving: 04•30•14," one at 9 a.m. and one at 9 p.m. (ET).

The videotaped show presents stories related to the Purdue Moves initiatives -- STEM Leadership, World-changing Research, Transformative Education -- and the Purdue Moves overarching theme of affordability and accessibility. The segments tell of lives being changed now and opportunities granted now, as well as where Purdue is heading and how Purdue research promises to move the world forward. The theme of the day overall is "Opportunity Granted."

The program also contains student testimonials and a greeting and closing by President Mitch Daniels. A student host, Josefina Estrada, ties it together.

BTN is on Boiler TV at Channel 17. In Lafayette-West Lafayette, it is on Comcast at Channel 67 (Channel 958 for HD); on DirecTV on Channel 610; and on DISH Network on Channel 439.
