Recent email from EBenefits sent in error
May 7,2014
Late Monday night or very early Tuesday morning (May 5-6), Purdue faculty and staff received an email message sent in error by EBenefits, the online benefits system used by Purdue.
An EBenefits system update and reset caused all benefits-eligible faculty and staff to receive an email welcoming them as new employees and giving them instructions for signing up for benefits.
"Unless you've just recently become employed at Purdue and still need to enroll in your benefits, you can disregard the message," says Eva Nodine, benefits director in Human Resources.
Nodine says that EBenefits sent an email several hours later informing employees of its original error.
"We apologize for the confusion this has caused," Nodine says. "Anyone with questions may call EBenefits Customer Service at 866-203-8051."
