Purdue men's tennis to hold events for faculty and staff, kids

January 16, 2014

The Purdue men's tennis team is holding a Faculty and Staff Mixer on Friday (Jan. 17) and Campus Kids Day on Monday (Jan. 20).

Faculty and staff can meet and play with the men's tennis team from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Schwartz Tennis Center. The event is free. Participants need to RSVP to Lisa Braden at lmbraden@purdue.edu by 5 p.m. Friday.

On Campus Kids Day, children who are in eighth grade and under will have the chance to participate in a free tennis clinic following the 1 p.m. Purdue vs. Toledo match at Schwartz Tennis Center (clinic start time between 3:45 and 4 p.m. depending on match length). Admission to the match is also free for all.

The children will work with the men's tennis team, head coach Pawel Gajdzik and assistant coach Matija Zgaga. The clinic will last about 45 minutes. Tennis rackets are available, and children are encouraged to wear gym shoes and clothing suitable for tennis.

For more information on either event, contact Braden at lmbraden@purdue.edu.
