Nominations for Hansen recognition award now being accepted

The Purdue University Retirees Association is accepting nominations for the 2014 Arthur G. Hansen Recognition Award.

The annual award recognizes a college/school, department, division or section of the University that has excelled in continuing strong relationships between the University and retirees from its unit. Eligible units may foster relationships with retirees in a variety of ways, which may include sending retirees the unit's newsletter, inviting them to social events or asking them to assist with welcoming new students and making alumni contacts.

The recipient of the award will receive a trophy and $2,500 to assist in further interaction with retirees. The name of the unit will be added to the Arthur G. Hansen Recognition Award master plaque in Purdue Memorial Union.

Any Purdue retiree may submit a nomination for their college/school, department, division or section. The nomination should be no longer than five pages, and only material submitted by the nominator is considered. Nomination forms are available at www.purdue.edu/retirees/docs/HansenNominationForm.pdf, or from the Office of Human Resources in Freehafer Hall.

Nominations should be returned to PURA, c/o Human Resource Services in Freehafer Hall (FREH). The deadline to submit a nomination is Feb. 15.
