Dining venues featuring Lunar New Year menus
Foods celebrating the Lunar New Year will be featured menus Thursday (Jan. 30) at six campus dining venues through a collaboration of Purdue Memorial Union, Purdue Dining and several student organizations.
All five dining courts and Lemongrass restaurant in the Union Commons will offer East Asian favorites to mark the occasion, which is open to Purdue students, faculty and staff. The new year officially starts Friday (Jan. 31).
"This collaboration is important because it provides international students with an opportunity to become involved on campus and celebrate important holidays, and it provides domestic students with unique and valuable learning opportunities that enhance their Purdue experience," says Greg Minner, director of Purdue Dining & Catering.
Faculty, staff and others are welcome to join in, too. At the five dining courts, the special menu will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost is $12.20 if paying in cash or $9.74 if using Boiler Express. It's all-you-can-eat and the price, payable at the door, includes tax. The dining courts, menus and organizations are:
