Tuesday's benefit presentation to stream live over Web

October 21, 2013

Tomorrow's presentation of "The Big Picture: 2014 Medical Options and HSAs" will be streamed live at http://www.kaltura.com/tiny/z1t1a. The session will take place from 8:30 to 10 a.m. in Stewart Center, Loeb Playhouse.

A recorded version of the session will be available later at www.kaltura.com/index.php/extwidget/preview/partner_id/1020782/uiconf_id/19707562/entry_id/1_mqw44you/embed/legacy?&flashvars%5bstreamerType%5d=auto.

"The Big Picture: 2014 Medical Options and HSAs" looks at the dynamics affecting Purdue's medical plans and reviews all three 2014 choices. The session delves into the benefits of a health savings account (HSA) and explains how an HSA works together with a high-deductible medical plan.

This final pre-enrollment session is open to all benefits-eligible Purdue employees and their spouses/same-sex domestic partners. Employees may attend in paid status with supervisor approval. Pre-registration is not required.

Faculty and staff who attended the separate sessions -- "Is a High-Deductible Medical Plan Your Best Choice?" and "Health Care: Moving Forward in 2014" -- do not need to attend "The Big Picture," which will cover the same information that was presented in the separate sessions.

Recorded versions of "Is a High-Deductible Medical Plan Your Best Choice?" and "Health Care: Moving Forward in 2014" are available now on the Benefits website at www.purdue.edu/hr/Benefits/Medical/recordedPresentations.html. PowerPoint slides from the presentations are also offered.

Benefits open enrollment will run Oct. 28 through 6 p.m. Nov. 15.
