Reminder: 2014 benefit sessions to be offered in Loeb Playhouse

October 15, 2013

Human Resources will offer a 2014 benefits information session two times in seven days in Stewart Center's Loeb Playhouse.

"The Big Picture: 2014 Medical Options and HSAs" looks at the dynamics affecting Purdue's medical plans and reviews all three 2014 choices. The session delves into the benefits of a health savings account (HSA) and explains how an HSA works together with a high-deductible medical plan. Sessions will be held at the following times:

* Oct. 16 (W). 4-5:30 p.m. Stewart Center, Loeb Playhouse

* Oct. 22 (Tu). 8:30-10 a.m. Stewart Center, Loeb Playhouse

The sessions are open to all benefits-eligible Purdue employees and their spouses/same-sex domestic partners. Employees may attend in paid status with supervisor approval. Pre-registration is not required.

Recorded sessions available

Recorded versions of "Is a High-Deductible Medical Plan Your Best Choice?" and "Health Care: Moving Forward in 2014" are available now on the Benefits website at www.purdue.edu/hr/Benefits/Medical/recordedPresentations.html. PowerPoint slides from the presentations are also offered.

More sessions will be offered during the benefits open enrollment period, which will run Oct. 28 through 6 p.m. Nov. 15.
