Guide provides tips on talking to students about alcohol, other substance abuse

October 14, 2013

Because alcohol and other substance abuse can affect a student's ability to succeed on campus, the Campus Improvement Team collaborated with several campus offices and organizations to develop the "Guide for Helping Students Succeed: How to Refer for Alcohol and Other Substance Abuse Issues."

The guide is available as a PDF file.

The guide will assist faculty and staff to:
* Identify red flags for students that may warrant a conversation.
* Provide tips on how to start the conversation.
* Make a referral.
