Flu shots available Dec. 5 and Dec. 6 in Stewart Center

November 21, 2013

The Center for Healthy Living will provide flu shots at Stewart Center on a walk-in basis Dec. 5 and Dec. 6. Flu shots will be available to eligible groups at no charge from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Stewart Center, Room 306.

Eligible groups are:

*All benefits-eligible employees.
*All official retirees.
*All spouses/same-sex domestic partners covered on a Purdue medical plan.

Walk-in flu shots at the Center for Healthy Living ended Nov. 8, and the center no longer has extra staff on hand to provide the walk-in service. The flu shot days at Stewart Center are expected to be the final walk-in opportunities on campus this year.

Employees covered on a Purdue medical plan may also get a flu shot at no charge through a retail pharmacy or their health care provider. Covered family members are also eligible for flu shots at no charge from these sources.

For a list of covered retail pharmacy locations, go to www.purdue.edu/hr/Benefits/Medical/pdf/cignaPharmaciesList.pdf. Employees and family members need to take their Cigna medical plan ID card to the retail pharmacy when going for a flu shot.
