Writing Lab satellite location moves to MSEE
August 28, 2013
Purdue's Writing Lab has begun operating a satellite location that will be available Wednesday evenings in the Materials and Electrical Engineering (MSEE) building to better serve engineering students.
Services at the satellite location will be available during the academic year at 6-9 p.m. each Wednesday in the building's atrium. Students may receive feedback on any writing project, including engineering and course-related assignments, job search-related writing and application essays. Tutors familiar with scientific writing will be available.
Beans, the nearby coffee shop, will stay open until 7 p.m. on Wednesdays to accommodate students who visit the location early.
This particular satellite location previously was located in Meredith Hall. Writing Lab staff decided to move it to MSEE to offer more support for engineering students, says Tammy Conard-Salvo, associate director of the Writing Lab.
The Writing Lab operates two other satellite locations. One is available at 6-9 p.m. Tuesdays in the Latino Cultural Center. The other is available at 6-9 p.m. Mondays in the Collaborative Study Center (CSC) in the Humanities, Social Sciences and Education Library (HSSE) in Stewart Center.
