Tickets available for luncheon to benefit Center for Cancer Research

Tickets are available for a luncheon on Oct. 10 that will benefit the Purdue University Center for Cancer Research.

The luncheon will take place from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. at McGraw's Steak Chop and Fish House, 2707 S. River Road. Tickets cost $25 each, and McGraw's will donate the luncheon's proceeds to the center.

The Purdue Women's Club 20/30 in conjunction with PWC Let’s Do Lunch is hosting the luncheon to benefit the Purdue University Center for Cancer Research. Speakers will include Timothy Ratliff, the Robert Wallace Miller Director of the Purdue University Center for Cancer Research, and Terry Kix, director of Purdue women's basketball operations.

Tickets can be purchased at http://hammerdowncancerlunch.eventbrite.com. About 40 tickets remain.

The Purdue University Center for Cancer research is one of 67 cancer-research centers designated by the National Cancer Institute. The researchers focus on discovery, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cancer. Twelve discoveries from the center currently are being tested in human clinical trials.
