CSSAC to elect new vice chair in August
July 15, 2013
The Clerical and Service Staff Advisory Committee will elect a new vice chair at its August meeting to replace Betty Kroll, who announced her resignation during the group's July 9 meeting.
Kroll said she will be leaving her position at Purdue on July 24, and that the July 9 CSSAC meeting was her last. CSSAC chair Gary Carter said the group's protocols and procedures call for replacing the chair or vice chair by nominating replacements at one meeting and then electing one at the following meeting. The new vice chair will succeed Carter as chair, for 2013-14, in September.
Nominated to replace Kroll were Cheryl Files, Tom Gilbert, Lisa Gross and Melissa Schwartz. Gross was elected vice chair for 2013-14 during CSSAC's May 14 meeting.
Member emeritus Ebony Barrett-Kennedy announced on July 9 that she also is leaving CSSAC because she is resigning her position at Purdue. Barrett-Kennedy served as CSSAC chair in 2011-12 and vice chair in 2010-11.
In other business on July 9, the group voted to change its meeting time from 1 to 1:30 p.m.
