Survey's results to factor into campus' recycling sign, container standards
June 10, 2013
Faculty and staff are encouraged to participate in a survey about recycling signage and containers. Its results will be used to develop related standards on Purdue's West Lafayette campus.
The survey, which represents collaboration between Purdue, George Washington University and the nonprofit organization Keep America Beautiful, can be found at www.research.net/s/BinDesignSurveyPurdue. It will be available until July 19.
The Office of University Sustainability encourages all Purdue faculty and staff to take the 20-minute survey. It gauges users' perceptions about commonly used recycling practices, receptacles and signage. The goal is to identify practices and equipment that are most effective.
Tamm Hoggatt, assistant director of sustainability, says the survey's results will assist his office as it works to develop standards for recycling containers and signage on the West Lafayette campus.
