Procurement Services to begin enabling suppliers on Ariba Network

The upcoming implementation of Ariba as Purdue's purchasing system will connect the University to a large global network of suppliers enabled for e-Commerce. The activity is part of Purdue's ongoing procurement transformation,

With the implementation, all activity with suppliers, including purchase requisitions and orders, receipt of goods and services, and invoicing and payment, will be done electronically to deliver maximum efficiency, value and service. To ensure a smooth transition, a dedicated Supplier Enablement Team will work with our supplier base over the coming months to set up and enable them to transact with Purdue using the Ariba Network.

The initial phases of implementation will target Purdue's largest suppliers and all current electronic catalog suppliers, as well as those who are targeted for electronic catalogs. The Supplier Enablement Team will ultimately work with all suppliers to enable them for electronic transactions and provide support throughout the process. During the enablement process, users can continue purchasing from suppliers waiting for enablement.

The first wave of suppliers will receive notifications during the next week with future waves following per a detailed schedule and priority. This process may generate questions from the supplier to on-campus purchasers who have an existing relationship with them. Those who receive questions from suppliers or have questions of their own about the enablement process should contact the Supplier Enablement Team at EnablementHelp@purdue.edu. Suppliers who have received a request to be enabled with Purdue on the Ariba Network can direct questions regarding registration, configuration, or the Ariba Network to PurdueUniversityEnablement@ariba.com.
