Purdue Women's Club to have Spring Luncheon

The Purdue Women's Club Spring Luncheon for 2013, set for April 4 and offering a varied program, will welcome as special guests three Purdue first ladies: Cheri Daniels, Jane Beering, and Laura Sands.

Reservations are due Wednesday (March 27). The cost is $16. A registration form is available at www.purduewomensclub.org by clicking on "PWC Luncheons." The event will be in the Purdue Memorial Union Ballroom. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m., and the luncheon is at noon.

Another Purdue first lady, Patty Jischke, is the current PWC president.

The program will begin with the Purdue Apparel Design and Technology Style Show with designs modeled by Purdue students with commentary by professors Nancy Strickler and Susan Owens of the Department of Consumer Science.

Teri Reed-Rhoads, assistant vice chancellor for academic affairs/engineering at Texas A&M University and a former Purdue professor and administrator, will speak on "This Is Not Your Father's Engineering: Trends, Changes and a Challenge."

Entertainment will follow with Doyne Carson, a professional storyteller, on "Story Telling: A Gift for the Generations."
