Email-based program aims to help participants make healthy, nutritional changes

November 28, 2012

WorkLife Programs' popular new email-based program is continuing in December with a new monthly theme.

Healthy Resolutions is a nine-month program that began in September and continues through May. It is geared at helping participants change their health habits, one month at a time. Participants are welcome to begin participating in December and finish out the program.

Healthy Resolutions: Do Breakfast Daily (email-based)

The goal for December is to eat a healthy breakfast daily.

Most of us start with great intentions of eating better and exercising more. Unfortunately, these vague goals are quickly forgotten and we lose our way. Resolve to change your habits. Each month focuses on a healthy behavior. Make a commitment to better health, one habit at a time.

Emails will be sent from Linda Monahan, registered dietitian at WorkLife Programs. At the beginning of the month, participants will receive an introductory email containing an overview of the health behavior focus for that month, a calendar for tracking behavior and a selection of recipes. During the month, participants receive weekly emails on Mondays that contain tips to help them stay on track to improve behaviors. This program is self-directed; participants will complete activities on their own schedule, at their own pace. They can review the tracking calendar at the end of the month to view progress. Once a participant registers for Healthy Resolutions, emails will automatically be sent for the following months as well. It is not necessary to register separately for each month.
