Rec Sports to host United Way fundraisers

The Division of Recreational Sports is hosting two athletic events to benefit the Purdue United Way Campaign this September.
A yogathon will be held Sept. 6 in the Memorial Mall center and north areas. The event will be led by Rec Sports' Learn to Play yoga instructor team and will run from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Registration for the event is $5. Attendees are encouraged to dress in layers and bring a beach towel, blanket or yoga mat.
The Party in Pink Zumbathon for United Way will take place Sept. 27 on Memorial Mall. Rec Sports' Group X Zumba instructor team will lead the event. The Zumbathon will run from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event, which is sponsored by Victoria’s Secret PINK, will include snacks and sponsor giveaways. Registration is $5.
All proceeds from the events will go to United Way of Greater Lafayette. The Purdue United Way Campaign kicks off Sept. 12 and concludes Nov. 14.
