Leading at Purdue workshop focuses on effective onboarding

Human Resources’ supervisor enablement program will host its next Leading at Purdue workshop, Strong Starts: Building Momentum, which focuses on relationship management. The session will be at 2 p.m. on Oct. 28. Registration is open via the Leading at Purdue webpage. Supervisors are encouraged to register early as space may be limited.

A strong onboarding experience helps new employees build clarity, confidence and connection from the start. In this practical, interactive workshop, supervisors will explore key practices for effective onboarding, including setting expectations; using team onboarding to intentionally integrate new employees into team relationships and norms; and providing ongoing support. Participants will practice using the GROW Coaching Model to guide meaningful conversations, apply onboarding practices to common situations, and leave with practical strategies to help new employees build momentum and successfully integrate into their role and team.

Visit the Leading at Purdue webpage to review the full workshop series.
