Gregg Leibert

I want to say how much I appreciate Gregg (Building Services), custodian for the PRIME Lab. At the end of the day May 7, he saw that I was standing outside the Physics Building by the docks and asked me what I was doing. I told him I was waiting on a delivery on a pallet. He offered to get his pallet jack to help get the delivery in the building, and while I was helping the driver get back out of the building, Greg took my pallet on down to the PRIME Lab. Thank you so very much for all your help, Gregg! — Jeaneen Morris (Physics and Astronomy)

Rob Barr, Rita Woodard, Shawn Eversole, Hannah Wyant and Scott Scheurich

A huge thanks to Rob, Rita, Shawn, Hannah and Scott (all Chemistry) for their help with the poster session for the Merck-Purdue Center Symposium. The poster session was a great success, and it was only possible thanks to their hard work. — David Foreman (Chemistry)

Libby Zupancic

Libby (Chemistry) was absolutely instrumental in the successful planning and execution of the Merck-Purdue Center Symposium. From the earliest stages of coordination through final cleanup, she consistently went above and beyond to ensure every detail was handled seamlessly. Simply put, Libby was a rock star. She handled a complex stakeholder landscape without skipping a beat. This event advanced conversations toward defining at least two potential sponsored research projects, strengthening Purdue’s partnership with a key industry partner. This event would not have happened without her support and dedication. Her hard work, positive attitude and commitment to excellence exemplify the spirit of Purdue and make her exceptionally deserving of this recognition. — David Foreman (Chemistry)

Carol Funkhouser

Many thanks to Carol (IT End User Experience) for handling the logistics of the in-person End User Experience leadership gathering last week. Her work coordinating the event helped make a complex meeting come together smoothly. — Purdue IT End User Experience

Zone 8 maintenance, masonry, electric and electronic shops

I would like to give a huge shoutout to the Zone 8 maintenance, masonry, electric and electronic shops for getting the fountains on campus up and running in time for the spring weather, especially for commencement. This is a challenging task every year, yet these teams make it look effortless. Their hard work, coordination and dedication help showcase the beauty of campus for students, families, alumni and visitors during one of the most important times of the year. Thank you all for the outstanding work and for the pride you take in keeping campus looking its best. — Kathy Bryant (Operations and Maintenance)

Rhonda Updyke Gavin

Purdue 101 began for all new beginners in Brightspace. Due to a miscommunication on our end, we neglected to activate the statewide technology access for that population. One of our advisors noticed there were no students completing the course. We reached out, and Rhonda (Purdue IT) shared with us the mistake and promptly activated Purdue 101 and added over 50 students to the course in preparation for their online orientation and scheduling of registration appointments. Rhonda’s prompt and professional approach to problems is always a welcome interaction. — T.R. Oneal (Purdue Polytechnic Institute)

Andrew Bradburn

The Advisor Depot serves as a vital resource for academic advisors at Purdue, providing essential information that supports our work each day. In a remarkably short time frame, Andrew has demonstrated exceptional dedication by ensuring this information was thoroughly updated in preparation for All Aboard Purdue. The HHS Student Services team would like to formally recognize Andrew for his outstanding efforts and meaningful contributions. Thank you, Andrew, for your hard work and commitment. — Jaclyn Palm (Health and Human Sciences)

Stacy Gray

A big thanks to Stacy (Finance and Business Operations) for everything you have contributed to our team since joining us 2 1/2 years ago. Your dedication, teamwork and positive impact have truly made a difference, and we are incredibly grateful for all the effort you’ve put in at the Executive Offices Business Operations Center’s Purchasing Center. With that said, congratulations are in order for your much-deserved advancement and transition into your new role in Procurement Services. This next step is a testament to your hard work, skill set and the value you bring to Purdue University. While we will miss having you in EOBOC Purchasing, we’re excited to see you continue to grow and succeed. Wishing you all the success in this new chapter! — Megan Stratton (Finance and Business Operations)

Megan Llamas

Megan (Finance and Business Operations) truly went above and beyond to help me with a process I had never done before. She didn’t have to step in, but she took the extra time to reach out to the right person to get the correct answer and then helped make sure the request was processed. I really appreciated her taking the time to walk me through a new process. She was also very quick in finding a solution — from start to finish, everything was resolved within just a few hours. I am very grateful for her willingness to help, her problem-solving mindset and her kindness throughout the entire process. Thank you, Megan. — Amy Rothrock (Research Support)

Anabelle Skaggs and Project Move Out volunteers

Big shoutout to Anabelle (Residential Housing Operations) for her work in organizing this year’s Project Move Out. This initiative allows students who live in the residence halls in West Lafayette to donate items they no longer need as they pack up and move out. Not only does this help prevent items from going to the landfill, but it also helps the local community as all donations go to Trinity Life Ministry’s thrift store. This year, nearly 40,000 pounds of donations were collected! Thank you again to Anabelle for all of your work organizing, communicating and managing logistics. Special thanks as well to all the volunteers who assisted over the past week and a half. — Adam Iserman (Campus Living and Compliance)

Kay Wood

I’d like to give a big thanks to Kay (Finance and Business Operations) for her outstanding support of our center while navigating some transitions. As a float staff member, she has seamlessly stepped in and already made an immediate impact. Kay comes in with a strong understanding of our workflows and responsibilities, allowing her to jump right in without hesitation. Her proactive attitude and consistent volunteering wherever help is needed eases the workload for the team. We are all so appreciative of her positive energy and reliable support in EOBOC Purchasing! — Megan Stratton (Finance and Business Operations)

Jeremy Anderson and Suzzanne Hauntz

I want to take a moment to thank Jeremy and Suzzanne (both Operations and Maintenance) from Zone C for the beautiful work completed in the staff conference room at the John Martinson Honors College. The installation of the chair railing and corner protectors looks fantastic and truly elevates the space. These improvements will go a long way in protecting the room and helping us avoid future damage, ultimately saving time and money down the road. The attention to detail and quality of your work are very much appreciated. The room looks great, and these additions will help ensure it stays that way. Thank you! — Carol Brawner (Residential Housing Operations)
