This year’s Spring Fling appreciation event, held May 21 for Purdue faculty, staff, graduate student staff and retirees, was another success thanks to the hundreds who took part in or helped coordinate the day’s activities.

Around 500 people participated in the Your Path fitness walk and received medals, and the Ackerman-Allen Course’s tee times were fully booked for the golf outing. The classic vehicle show featured 22 entries, and bingo winners took home nearly 200 prizes. An additional 52 people won Spring Fling door prizes.

The Spring Fling committee extends appreciation to the many incredible teams and individuals whose enthusiasm, teamwork and dedication brought this year’s event to life:

  • All staff members and retirees who volunteered, lending their time, smiles and spirit to make the day shine.
  • Administrative Operations staff members, whose behind‑the‑scenes excellence in managing trash and recycling equipment, delivering tables and chairs, entering work orders, and locating utilities for tent setup kept Memorial Mall powered, clean, organized and ready for fun.
  • Student Life staff members and the committee’s beloved longtime volunteer retiree, who kept attendees happy with ice cream and cool, refreshing drinks.
  • Campus Support Staff Advisory Committee members, who brought excitement and nostalgia through the classic vehicle show and its awards.
  • Management and Professional Staff Advisory Committee members, who energized the crowd with bingo and fantastic prizes.
  • All departments and areas that donated bingo prizes, adding excitement and generosity to the day.
  • Purdue University Retirees Association members, whose continued involvement enriches the event each year.

  • HR — Leadership and Organizational Development staff members, whose coordination of setup, teardown and door prize shopping kept everything running smoothly.
  • HR — Talent Acquisition staff members, who coordinated the many volunteers who make Spring Fling possible.
  • Recreation & Wellness staff members, whose game setups are a crowd favorite year after year and add nonstop fun to the event.
  • Stewart Center staff members, who provided essential setup support for the fitness walk and bingo.
  • The Purdue University Police and Fire departments, which ensured a safe and enjoyable experience throughout Memorial Mall.
  • Purdue Parking, which provided relaxed parking for the day to accommodate event guests.
  • Everyone who donated blood, contributing to a meaningful cause beyond the festivities.
