Faculty, staff, graduate student staff and retirees have until 5 p.m. May 14 to register for activities taking place during Purdue’s annual Spring Fling employee appreciation event, set for 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. May 21 on and around Memorial Mall.
The door prize drawing continues this year, and the entry form is available online. Those interested in entering the drawing should print out the form, complete it, bring it to Spring Fling and deposit it at the information table by 2 p.m. All winners will be notified May 22 via email or phone.
The classic vehicle show is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the northwest corner of Oval Drive. Faculty, staff and retirees who wish to display their antique, classic and show cars; trucks; motorcycles; and other vehicles should register to participate. Special awards will be presented at the end of the show, and all participants will receive an event dash plate.
Tee times for the golf outing at the Ackerman-Allen course are available on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 8 a.m. and can be reserved by calling 765-496-9313. The price to play 18 holes is $60 with a cart and $40 without. Purdue staff IDs will be checked as players sign in.
Those participating in the 3-mile, noncompetitive Your Path fitness walk around campus can begin the route between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. and must finish by 3:30 p.m. Registration is required to receive a medal, and medals will be presented to the first 700 who sign up and complete the walk.
Employees who cannot travel to West Lafayette for Spring Fling can participate in the fitness walk remotely by registering online and uploading proof of their completed route. Visit the remote staff engagement webpage for more details.
All other Spring Fling activities — including yard games, bingo, disc golf, the blood drive and a wellness experience — do not require registration. More details about each are available on the Spring Fling nonregistration events webpage.
Lunch will be served starting at 11:30 a.m. at Memorial Mall. The Spring Fling coordinating committee requests that individuals plan to take only one lunch as carry-out options will not be available.
