The Management and Professional Staff Advisory Committee presented its MaPSAC Excellence Award during a May 27 ceremony to Stephanie Willis, director of information and support services in Sponsored Program Services.
The annual award — consisting of a plaque and $1,500 — honors a high-performing, full-time management or professional staff member who serves as a university ambassador by taking initiative, leading by example and providing exemplary customer service.
Willis’ role within Sponsored Program Services supports the office’s overall mission of providing high-quality, timely services to principal investigators as they secure and administer extramural grants and contracts, while also contributing to its vision of enhancing the competitiveness and impact of Purdue’s sponsored programs.
She is charged with managing reporting across complex internal systems, including the Purdue Excellence in Research Administration and SAP Grants Management platforms, which track the accuracy, reliability and timeliness of the university’s research and financial data. Willis also oversees critical external reporting requirements that are essential to maintaining Purdue’s sponsor, federal and state compliance obligations.
More information about the award, along with a list of past winners, is available on the MaPSAC Excellence Award webpage.
