Faculty, staff, graduate student staff and retirees can now register for activities taking place during the annual Spring Fling employee appreciation event, set for 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. May 21 at and around Memorial Mall.

Faculty, staff and retirees interested in displaying their antique, classic and show cars, trucks, motorcycles and other vehicles can register to enter the classic vehicle show until 5 p.m. May 14. The show is set for 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the northwest corner of Oval Drive. Special awards will be presented at the end of the show, and all participants will receive an event dash plate.

Tee times for the golf outing at the Ackerman-Allen Course will be available on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 8 a.m. and can be reserved by calling 765-496-9313. The price to play 18 holes is $60 with a cart and $40 without. Purdue staff IDs will be checked as players sign in.

Registration for the 3-mile fitness walk around campus is open until 5 p.m. May 14 and is required for those who wish to receive a medal. Participants can begin the walk between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. and must finish by 3:30 p.m. The first 700 who register and complete the walk will receive a medal.

Employees who cannot travel to West Lafayette for Spring Fling can participate in the fitness walk remotely by registering online and uploading proof of their completed route. Visit the remote staff engagement webpage for more details.

All other Spring Fling activities — including yard games, bingo, disc golf, lunch, the blood drive and a wellness experience — do not require registration. More details about each are available on the Spring Fling nonregistration events webpage.

The door prize drawing continues this year, and the entry form is available online. To enter the drawing, individuals should print out the form, complete it, bring it to Spring Fling and deposit it at the information table by 2 p.m. All winners will be notified May 22 via email or phone.

Employees and retirees interested in volunteering at the event should sign up for a shift by 5 p.m. Thursday (April 9). All volunteers will receive a Spring Fling T-shirt and three additional entries for the door prize drawing.
