This week’s ‘Thumbs Up’ recipients

Teng Lee

I’d like to recognize Teng (Engineering Technology) for his hands‑on support of our plastics lab and machine shop. Ahead of this semester, he prepared materials and equipment so lab sections were ready from Day 1. He’s rebuilding a Bridgeport mill, restoring a critical tool for future instruction, and he tackled extensive cleaning and reorganization of lab spaces. Day to day, Teng is proactive — he anticipates needs, responds quickly and often resolves issues before they impact classes. His work has reduced downtime, kept courses on schedule and improved the student learning experience in our teaching labs. Thank you, Teng, for consistently stepping in wherever help is needed and for keeping our learning spaces ready and safe. — Dustin Schultz (Engineering Technology)

Driver of Campus Transit bus 302

Thumbs up to the driver of Campus Transit bus 302. The driver had already started pulling out of the bus stop near McCutcheon Hall when they noticed a student running to try to catch the bus. The driver stopped and waited so that student would catch the bus. Thanks, driver, for taking a little time to make that student’s day better. — Mike Budzik (IT Enterprise Solutions)

Admissions team

The Office of Admissions does such a great job of supporting applicants and their families during the decision release period while also supporting the rest of the university. We’re lucky to have you all, so thank you for everything you do to help grow and uplift our campus community! — Sam Day (Global Engineering Programs and Partnerships)
