This week’s ‘Thumbs Up’ recipients

Purdue Today’s “Thumbs Up” series gives faculty and staff members the opportunity to recognize, thank and congratulate others for their outstanding service, support and performance across the Purdue system. This week’s “Thumbs Up” recipients are:

Tony Mull

Cliff Frier

Thank you to Cliff (Operations and Maintenance) for always helping order our replacement parts as well as saving Purdue money. On one particular order, he saved $908 on bulbs for a parking garage. — Sam Chinn (Operations and Maintenance)

Gerald Munn

Melissa Richardson

I’d like to recognize and thank Melissa (Finance) for going above and beyond in supporting faculty and colleagues. This past week, she helped one of her assigned professors start multiple funding proposals in the Purdue Excellence in Research Administration platform, so I had everything needed to assist with preparing and submitting the proposals. This level of proactive support demonstrates her commitment to outstanding customer service. Melissa’s dedication, teamwork and focus on helping faculty succeed make her an exceptional asset to Purdue. — Amanda Glidden (Sponsored Program Services)

Adam Fleener

Adam (Building Services) started this year and normally works in Elliott Hall of Music. Since he has been with me, he has helped without complaint, no matter the situation. He is a very hard worker, and we appreciate his hard work on getting the math building caught up and finished to start the new school year. — Leslie Allen (Building Services)

Brian Ostler

Brian (Building Services) just transferred from CoRec and has been an amazing addition to our group. He has done so much to upgrade and clean the math building and is very eager to help where he can. He makes the day better with his stories and movie quotes. You have been a huge help to me and those in Beering Hall. Thank you for your hard work. Patrick Smith and Kimberly Blackwell

Patrick and Kim (both Jischke Center) took on a complicated role this summer filled with transitions for them, their space and their students, and they created a thriving, wonderful learning environment.
