Upcoming Healthy Boiler workshop focuses on ‘getting started with yoga’

The Center for Healthy Living (CHL) is offering a Healthy Boiler workshop titled “Getting Started With Yoga” from noon to 1 p.m. ET Sept. 18.

September is National Yoga Month, which is dedicated to raising awareness about the many physical and mental benefits of yoga. This workshop is a great way to celebrate and learn more.

“When you’re brand-new to yoga, it can feel intimidating and difficult to know exactly where and how to get started,” said Amy Becker, health coach at the Purdue Northwest CHL. “Yoga is accessible for just about everyone, and this webinar is designed to give you all the tips, guidelines and recommendations you will need to start a successful yoga practice.”

Those interested in participating should register by Sept. 18 (prior to the start of the workshop) via the Healthy Boiler Portal. The registration link can be found under the “Healthy Boiler Workshops” section on the portal’s homepage. Hover over the “Getting Started With Yoga” square and click on the information “i” to register.

Healthy Boiler workshops are free to all benefits-eligible employees and their dependents covered on a Purdue health plan.
