Those who helped with Family Weekend

I want to take this time to thank Jen Wetli (Parent and Family Connections); Beth Moore (Dean of Students); and Jill Wable, Ally Goodrich, Melissa Evens and Heather Beasley (all Vice Provost for Student Life) for helping make Family Weekend such a success! Without their time and effort, it would not have been possible. It takes a village to make something like this happen, and I have the best people in my village. Everyone’s dedication made it a special event, even with the challenges. We made a difficult situation work and didn’t show any weakness. All of you should be proud of the work you do and your dedication to the university. Thanks again! — Missy Gulick (Vice Provost for Student Life)

Terri Smith-Wright, Andy Goodwin, Michael Manzini and Kenneth Seldomridge

Thank you for helping me make Family Weekend special. Terri (Capital Projects) arranged for us to borrow some furniture from University Residences to use under our tent for the parents to use. Andy, Michael and Kenneth (all Residential Housing Operations) assisted with bringing over the furniture, setting it up and then picking it up on Monday. They also assisted us with putting out information signs around campus to help parents find the Family Weekend location. It was such a huge help, and the furniture was a great addition to our event. These additions made our event very special! Thank you! — Missy Gulick (Vice Provost for Student Life)

Chayse Glotzbach

Chayse (Finance) has stepped up in her role and really taken charge by completing many time-sensitive matters for our office. She consistently demonstrates a professional and helpful demeanor while maintaining kindness and patience. I sincerely appreciate her efforts in all that she does to support our area. Thank you, Chayse, for all that you do! It does not go unnoticed. — Erin Watson (Education Store)

Robin Terwilliger

When I joined the Engineering Education team, I was lucky to have Robin (Engineering Education) as my supervisor. Her motto, “I assumed they hired you because you’re qualified, so I don’t need to micromanage you,” was a breath of fresh air. Robin’s trust empowered me to grow professionally. She’s always available to support me, lend a hand with tasks and offer thoughtful feedback. Robin also shares tips and tricks that make my work more efficient and less stressful. Her dedication, hard work and genuine support for others make her an outstanding leader. Thumbs-up to Robin for her commitment to helping others succeed. — Wendy Watson (Engineering Education)

Purdue Fulbright committee and language evaluators

A colossal thank-you to all of the faculty, staff and others who supported Purdue’s Fulbright applicants in the past month, either as committee members, language evaluators or both. Facilitating the Fulbright application process takes a village, and we at the National and International Scholarships Office are very glad to have you all by our side. Your time, thoughtfulness and commitment to Fulbright’s mission are inspiring and appreciated. Working with our Fulbright committee is one of the highlights of my year, and I am deeply grateful to every single one of you. — Lindsay Sheedy (National and International Scholarships Office)

John Gipson

Huge thank-you to John (Provost) for his years of service to Purdue! Thank you for your dedication to making students feel valued and for always advocating for others. I appreciate your mentorship and for always going the extra mile to get to know people on campus. — Katie May (Public Health)
