Submissions needed for PSUB Christmas tree at the Union

Workers in safety gear position a large Christmas tree inside the Purdue Memorial Union – a building with high ceilings, chandeliers and holiday decorations, while onlookers watch from a balcony.

The Purdue Student Union Board (PSUB) is currently accepting donation submissions for the Purdue Memorial Union’s annual Christmas tree.

Tree qualifications:

  • Must be 25 to 30 feet tall
  • Can be no wider than 20 feet
  • Must be grown in the Greater Lafayette community
  • Should be easily accessible by crane, with no nearby power lines or soft ground

PSUB will review all submissions toward the end of September and will select the best tree to stand in the Great Hall of the Purdue Memorial Union. All associated costs for tree removal, cleaning, trimming and delivery to the Great Hall will be covered. The tree will be decorated and displayed at the Union throughout December (the display time will depend on the tree passing daily fire safety tests).

If you are interested in donating a tree, please fill out this form or email psub@purdue.edu. Include your name, address, and photos of the tree and its surrounding area.
