Center for Healthy Living telehealth visits require $5 fee payment

Due to the American Relief Act of 2025, participants enrolled in HSA-eligible high-deductible health plans — such as Purdue’s medical plans — are now required to pay for nonpreventive telehealth visits.

Participants who engage with the Center for Healthy Living’s (CHL) telehealth program will be notified of a $5 fee for service prior to receiving care. Information on the process is available here.

Additionally, those who have used the CHL’s telehealth services already in 2025 will be billed retroactively for the $5 fee. Those individuals will receive an email to pay within the next few weeks.

The original communication about this fee anticipated that this policy would be revisited in March; however, this did not occur. If there are future revisions to this policy or further changes are required, Human Resources — Benefits will provide additional information.
